Day 4: Let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere of Šediviny, Neratov, and Vrchní Orlice

The Orlické Mountains hide many peaceful, inspiring places that soothe the soul and delight the eye. In Šediviny, you’ll find an intriguing blend of art and spirituality – the cultural center SCHULE and the unusual pseudo-Art Nouveau Church of St. Joseph.

In Deštné in the Orlické Mountains, you can slow down along the Way of the Cross, while nearby Villa Nova transports you back to the Middle Ages. And if you're seeking a powerful spiritual experience, head to Neratov. The Baroque church with its glass roof will dazzle you not only with its restoration but also with its unique atmosphere. Be sure to stop by the poetic little church in Vrchní Orlice, where a “poesiomat” lets you listen to poems and old songs. Each of these places invites you to pause, reflect, and be still – and they may reveal more than you expect.

Day 5: For Views and Quiet Nature Along the Trail of Czechia

The Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, also known as the Kunštát Chapel, is passed by both the Jirásek Trail and the northern branch of the Trail of Czechia – a 90-kilometer section along the ridges of the Orlické Mountains that offers a peaceful yet unforgettable journey through the landscape. If you don’t feel like hiking the entire route, you can choose just a part – perhaps a trip to the Zemská brána (Land Gate) or the forests around Žamberk – and let yourself be enchanted by nature, fresh air, and the spiritual atmosphere of mountain paths. All you need is to pick your pace – and set out.
