Rock town Adršpach

Adršpašsko-teplické skály has been among the top 10 tourist attractions in the Hradec Králové region for years. Do not miss them either. Just beware – plan your visit well. There is so much interest in visiting Adršpach that you cannot get in without a reservation in the summer. And that would be a shame. The local rocks are not only a popular walk through the unique rock town, but also a favourite destination for film-makers. The fairy tales Třetí princ and Princ a Večernice, and the Nordic fantasy, The Chronicles of Narnia, are among the most famous films shot here.

TIP: Do you want to enjoy the magic of the rocks without queues and crowds? Save your visit for winter. There is nothing more beautiful than the snowy caps of the rock town and the Pískovna frozen lake. However, you need good shoes and, just in case, a pair of anti-skids.

Adršpach Castle

If you still have some time left after visiting the rock town, make sure to visit Adršpach Castle. Aside from the castle tour, there are other attractions on offer: the flax exposition (flax processing) or the museum of climbing. There is also a fairytale room for children, and the brainy ones will appreciate the escape game based on The Third Prince fairytale.

Zdoňovské menhirs

Near Teplice, in the village of Zdoňov, are the Zdoňovské Menhirs. If you wish to slow down, break from the everyday world and take a moment to breathe, go for a walk in the fresh air. Between Křížový vrch and Svatý Kopeček you will find ruins of the Church of the Virgin Mary, a little further on you will pass through the so-called Druid Grove. Here, you will find not one, but three sets of stones in different formations close to each other. Some tower up to 4.5 metres high, others can be found in the grass. After you have seen everything, do not hesitate to climb Křížový vrch and enjoy the view of the region. The combination of beautiful nature, Celtic mysticism and the Christian symbolism of the stations of the cross will give you the space you need for contemplation.
